Goodness in a Box offers gift boxes filled with wholesome, natural and organic goodies. The products are locally produced and include artisanal cheeses, chocolates, cured and other meats, bath and beauty products all made from the finest natural ingredients – which contain none of the bad stuff – to help create those memorable moments.
We like to promote the idea of “gifting a moment” rather than “stuff” as we feel that most people buy their own “stuff” and “moments create memories not dust”.
We encourage you to create your own gift box. We have deliberately only added a few ready-made gift boxes and kept them relatively small as well which makes them perfect “to go” or to “add to”. We also have a gift shop with many individual products from which you are able to make up your own gift box.
If you are rushed or really don’t know what to choose you can complete the bespoke gift form and we will gladly create a custom gift box according to your specifications including any special dietary requirements. We offer vegan options as well and most of our products are gluten free.
Yes, our products are sourced locally.
We ship Nationwide (SA). Delivery takes place between 3-4 days depending on where the gift must be delivered to.
No deliveries will take place over weekends or public holidays, unless it is local (Garden Route) we will gladly deliver your gift over the weekend.
We do however encourage you to place your order at least a week before the required date as many of the products are made to order, this ensures that the recipient receives a gift box filled with really fresh products.
Our gift boxes are made from recycled corrugated board and the wood wool is made from plantation timber or from wood that is unsuitable for milling.
We use acid-free tissue paper, environmentally friendly packaging tape, twine and string made from natural plant fibre and a large raffia bow as well as an occasion appropriate gift tag adds the final touch to create a beautiful finished product.
For a bit of added fun your personal message is placed inside a small bottle with a cork (message in a bottle) which will be placed inside the box and form part of the gift as well a bookmark with a quote, compliments of Goodness in a Box.
The term “natural” can be misleading. At Goodness in a Box we use the term to describe products that have been minimally processed; no artificial additives and preservatives have been added and have also not been tested on animals.
Organic produce and other ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. Animals that produce meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products do not take antibiotics or growth hormones.
7. The man in my life is a sports fanatic and loves to braai - what type of gift box would you suggest for him?
For the man in your life we suggest a gift box filled with delicious snack items which he can enjoy while watching his favourite game on telly such as biltong (grass fed & no added MSG) from Deep South Meat Supplies, a block or 2 of Gay’s Guernsey Dairy award winning cheese, a jar of Brandied Fig and Date pate from The Cooksister, some grain-free crackers from Life Bake or Primal Chow and some olives.
If he likes a bit of sweetness we could also add a pack or 2 of The Fudgemasters Choc & Amaralua Cookie Fudge, alternatively we could put together a gift box containing items which he would find useful while braaing such as the man cloth from Mungo, some Green Eco- lite fire-lighters, Probio braai cleaner, a jar of biltong dukkah from The Cooksister, a tin of Prince Albert Olive oil and a beer bread from Barret’s Ridge.
8. I would like to spoil my mom with something different - she is a real foodie and likes organic products – what should I get her?
If your Mom is a real foodie then she will know quality when she tastes it and therefore we would recommend the Kuhestan organic cordial gift box, available in rose & pomegranate, some honest chocolate bonbons, and a box of Superfoods organic white mulberries.
Why not also get her something from Soil or Victorian Garden to pamper her with, possibly a bath oil or soap and body lotion. One of our all-time favourite pamper products is the pebble soap by Victorian Garden. Not only does it smell amazing but it is silky smooth and fits perfectly in your hand. Love it!!
9. Do you make up corporate gifts? We are having a farewell for a staff member who has been with us for 15 years – we would like to get her something that will show how much we will miss her. She is an avid gardener.
Yes we do and we would love the opportunity to assist with creating a gift for this very special staff member. Seeing that she loves gardening I would definitely suggest the terracotta suet bird feeder. She will be able to watch the birds feed while working in her garden and also remember the special moments she shared with you all.
We could also add some organic tea and an array of sweet treats such as The Natural Way’s Carob Coated Cashew & Date Fudge, Honey Halva Organic Seed Balls and Millionaire’s Shortbread and possibly a Zeni-doodles tea mug with a personal message on the back as well.
10. It is my good friend’s baby shower but I won’t be able to be there, so this has to be extra special. I would like to send her a gift that is both useful and memorable – can you help?
Of Course First thing that comes to mind is Mungo’s organic baby blanket as well as oh-lief’s all natural baby body wash and shampoo, aqueous cream and bum balm. Something that will really make it memorable is a ‘grow a tree kit”. The tree can be planted to celebrate the birth of your friend’s baby.
11. My wife says that I have no imagination! I would love to spoil her and get her something that she does not expect - What could I get her that would be unique?
The eat.art glass tea pot filled with an assortment of flowering tea balls should impress your wife.
Add to this some solid perfume which comes in a beautiful small wooden trinket box and then a beautiful box of Le Chocolatiers Truffles & Pralines. These wonderful products are sure to make your wife feel special.
